In 1940, the Dowdy family lived in what is now The Library while building the main house. This Texas Hill Country ranch was purchased by Edwin and Lillian Tope in 1963 and later passed to their daughter, Maevonne, and granddaughter, Lisa. Lisa and Will Hawkins have extensively updated the ranch, including the 9-decade-old Ranch House, which now features central air, heating, a fireplace, a screened patio, and modern fixtures. They plan to pass this legacy to their daughters, Haley, Faith, and Gillian. Whether exploring nearby wineries or escaping the city, consider this your country home away from home.
