Inspired by Granddad EdwinTope

Granddad Edwin has inspired four generations, with another one on the way! If you walk out behind Tope Hall, you will see an old ranch fence he repaired with a metal chair. Even though the rest of the ranch has been updated over the years, the family keeps the chair in the fence as a reminder of his indonmintable tenacity. We have many stories from this beloved place. Here’s hoping you will have a couple ranch stories of your own to take with you.

Ranch Stories

The First Wedding at Hawkins Hope Ranch:

Blake and Lauren’s Special Day

The first wedding at Hawkins Hope Ranch was a magical celebration of love and nature, perfectly suited to the personalities of Blake and Lauren—two dear friends of the Hawkins family. When they began planning their wedding, Blake and Lauren knew they wanted a venue that honored their love of the outdoors while providing a warm, intimate space to celebrate with close friends and family. Hawkins Hope Ranch, with its sprawling fields and serene Hill Country charm, was the perfect choice.

Blake took on a meaningful project in preparation for the big day: he built a beautiful wooden arbor where the couple would exchange their vows. On the evening of the wedding, the arbor stood in a large open field, framed by the golden glow of a Texas sunset.

As guests gathered, they were welcomed into an enchanting scene. A tent, pitched in the same field, was adorned with twinkling lights that danced like stars. After a heartfelt ceremony under the handmade arbor, the celebration moved into the tent, where everyone enjoyed a classic Texas feast—barbecue, of course! Laughter, dancing, and joy filled the air as the newlyweds and their guests shared this special moment together.

Blake and Lauren’s wedding wasn’t just a beautiful event; it set the tone for what Hawkins Hope Ranch could be—a place where love, family, and friendship come together to create unforgettable memories. For the Hawkins family, it was an honor to host such a meaningful occasion, and it marked the beginning of many more celebrations to come.

An All Pro Corporate Event: On Target at Hawkins Hope Ranch

After completing a whirlwind of major projects—including car condos, apartment renovations, and a sleek office space build-out—the team at All Pro Construction deserved a break. Owners Will and David made it their mission to show appreciation for their hardworking employees, organizing a corporate retreat at Hawkins Hope Ranch. The newly renovated Shot Shack and the ranch’s natural beauty provided the perfect setting for a day of relaxation, team bonding, and stress relief.

The morning kicked off with camaraderie as the team gathered around the Black Stone Grill, a playful nod to classic Texas culture with its design resembling a Ford truck bed. Over hearty breakfast favorites, the group shared laughs and stories, setting the tone for a memorable day.

Next, they ventured into the great outdoors, enjoying the ranch’s expansive grounds. Whether fishing in the ponds, lounging by the pool, or cruising the property in trucks, the team relished the chance to recharge in a serene setting.

As the day cooled, the real fun began at the Shot Shack. With snacks and beers in hand, the team tackled the skeet shooting course. The shared cheers and friendly competition brought everyone closer together, highlighting the bonds that make All Pro Construction a family as much as a business.

The team left the retreat feeling refreshed and united. Spending time outdoors not only helped alleviate stress but also reminded everyone of the value of taking a step back to appreciate each other. The experience strengthened the team’s connections and showcased the thoughtful leadership of Will and David, who took the time to show their gratitude in such a meaningful way.

Blanco’s proximity to San Antonio made it an easy escape for the group, yet the idyllic surroundings of Hawkins Hope Ranch felt like a world away. For the All Pro Construction team, it was a day to remember and proof that sometimes, a little time outdoors is all it takes to come back stronger.
